Thursday morning update...

"This was an event.  Getting over it will be a process."  C.D.

Dad has been struggling with a bit of nausea and hasn't had an appetite.  His nausea is much worse today.  They are trying to get the nausea under control so that he can rest.

The pin site on his left hip is putting out lots of drainage and he has started running a low grade fever.

More to come,

  1. Dr. Google says that Nausea is a side affect of pelvis surgery and it usually goes away in a day or two. Google also says that drainage is expected and a light infection with fever is not unexpected. It says that the pelvis is a quick healer - but there can be months of limping due to slow muscle strength return, but that will go away with physical therapy.
